Hey! I'm
Ben Lam
I create things for the internet
My focus is on the front end since I love to create an engaging web experience for the user. I've been working as a web developer since 2019, but I still think there is still so much to learn since the user experience is always changing.
About Me
I'm a creator.
It first started with graphic design in college, but I soon realized I'm not good at creating things out of nothing. This lead me to photography and videography which I still do as a hobby.
There are many little things that pushed me towards web development such as managaing and designing a company newsletter, clumsily customizing a Salesforce CRM for a previous employer, and doing QA for a startup.
At the startup, I told them I'm interested in becoming a dev so they told me to take an online course and they'll teach me the rest while working. So after a month of online courses, I became a front end developer in Septebmer 2019.

Things I've Created
F.Art Magazine
October 3, 2022
I started playing with Stable Diffusion to generate art since I can't draw. It started with creating fan art of characters from the NoPixel GTARP server. One image gave me the inspiration to create a fictional magazine blog website to showcase the art I created with Stable Diffusion and motivation to learn about headless CMS.
DogBnB
August 16, 2022
My brother said I would be ready for most dev jobs if I can recreate the AirBnB website. Well, here's the site, but instead of houses it is dogs. I had to learn more about the back end, databases, and APIs to recreate the site.
Bank Hack Game
May 5, 2022
A hacking minigame from the NoPixel GTARP server to break into a bank.
